The city of Dortmund

Dortmund is a city in Westphalia, Germany. It is, amongst other things, famous for its football club and its beer. If you want to learn more about Dortmund, here are some helpful links:

Note on travel reimbursement

Please note that for your hotel costs to be reimbursed via TU Dortmund, the relevant bill / receipt must include the addressee "Fakultaet Informatik, TU Dortmund", as well as your name. This only applies to hotel receipts and obviously not to travel reimbursed via Fraunhofer ISST.

Since 2010 the city of Dortmund charges an accommodation tax of 5% on hotel accommodation. This does not include business travellers. To not have to pay this tax, you should mention when reserving the room that you are indeed on a business trip. This applies to visitors to both TU Dortmund and Fraunhofer ISST.
